You might be curious about what to expect with this type of life coaching. Think of personal accountability as a foundation for taking control of your life and the direction it goes in—you make decisions and take actions that are directed by you. Some refer to this as a high level of self-control or self-mastery.


Then there is the lifestyle coaching portion of it that addresses the need for work life balance. Sometimes we forget about our life goals and focus too much on the work part, and thus ignoring the responsibility we have to ourselves to live a happy life too.


The third portion of the personal accountability and lifestyle coaching program is the leadership coaching. The accountability and lifestyle parts of this program focus on you, and there are many parallels in these two areas that are seen in leadership. Although leadership coaching helps to build your interpersonal skills. This is equally important since engaging with others, whether on a personal or professional level, is present in every part of your life.


With the assistance of personal accountability and lifestyle coaching you’re able build a solid foundation and move your goals forward with the tools, knowledge and strategies we create in the life coaching sessions, and then achieve your desired outcome.


Coaching is a journey of self-discovery and increased awareness. So with each session you continue to add layers onto your foundation until it becomes strong enough that you have that certainty, the clarity, and the motivation and commitment that has you more successfully achieving your goals. The life coaching session follows a 5 step process that will have you accomplishing the change you want to see in you life, and much sooner than doing it alone.


  1. Each session begins with discovering what is important to you and what you’d like to change.

  2. The second step is exploring options using various coaching tools and exercises that will open up opportunities for you.

  3. Once we have a clear direction we’ll begin the third step of strategizing and developing tasks to make this change in your life.

  4. Then for the fourth step we’ll address the accountability where we expose the obstacles that can get in the way of making this change, and find ways to reduce or overcome them.

  5. The last step, we define the immediate action that will have you committed to this change and then explore ways to keep you motivated.


Because we focus on strengthening your foundation, this applies to any personal or professional goal that you want to achieve. It can be to improve communication in your personal relationship, to confidently prepare for a job interview, to be more organized and efficient when growing your business, or it can be working on the next phase in life involving education or retirement. The goal is very important, and defining it in the first couple of coaching sessions will make you more confident that you’re working on the right goal. As we progress through the coaching journey this goal will evolve, so we need to develop a strong starting point.


In order to achieve the best outcome from personal life coaching you'll need to be:

  • Open to trying new ways of thinking

  • Ready to take action to get the desired result

  • Committed to making positive change in your life

  • Willing to let go of old habits and beliefs that no longer work for you

  • Mentally show up on time to every coaching session

I should add that my form of personal life coaching is NOT about:​

  • Fixing you—you're okay the way you are

  • Giving you advice—you already have the resources, we just need to uproot them

  • Figuring out why you did something in the past—the choice you made then was the best for you at that time

  • Blaming past experiences —every behaviour has a positive intention and something to learn from, and we'll discover what that is.

Each of the life coaching sessions are held in an online meeting room powered by Zoom. This allows me to coach my clients anywhere in the world, and at a time that works for both of us. All you need is an internet connection, email, ear buds or a head set for privacy and better sound.
